1/144 F-14D Super Tomcat VF-213 "Blacklions" (Twin Pack)

This kit includes two full F-14D kits complete with two different sets of markings.

About VF-213:
The “Blacklions”, as VF-213 is known, was commissioned as a Navy Fighter Squadron on 22 June 1955. It is currently based at NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach as the squadron transitions to the F/A-18. The squadron holds the distinction, along with VF-103 “Jolly Rogers”, of being the last ‘drivers’ of the F-14D Super Tomcat. The Tomcat is to be withdrawn from service in September 2006, long after the first F-14 fighters appeared in 1974, and the upgraded F-14D in 1990.
