Rulebook - "Napoleonic Wars" Age of Battles Game System

You can use this Rulebook with the following Zvezda Games:

The book consists of three parts. Each of them is a complete game system. They differ in the skill level and realism, but you will easily understand all of them because they are presented one by one, from the easiest to the most difficult one. This style will accelerate the process of studying the rules.

The first part deals with the ABC of the army commandment. You will learn to move regiments, to form a line, a column and a square, to open artillery and gun fire. You will study such basics of the soldier psychology as battle spirit and panic. The first part of the rules is perfectly suited for young amateurs of military history or for players who want to play a large battle without spending much time on it.

The second part differs from the previous one is a more detailed way of modeling artillery fire (even the bounce of a canon-ball is taken into account), a large number of factors influencing the behavior of soldiers (covered flanks, the depth of formation etc...). It is possible to use response reactions of attacked regiments such as retreating, the counter-attack, the volley and flight. The second level of realism is presupposed for more experienced players who want to model a battle accounting the terrain and other parameters.

The third part opens you almost unlimited horizons for imitating historic battles or modeling your own combats. The most particular players will find here the description of such game factors as weather and its influence on shooting and movement, additional conditions (e.g. limited ammunition) and many more.
